Afghanistan has once again been hit by another 6.3 magnitude earthquake.
The earthquake which occurred in Herat on Wednesday morning was confirmed and made known by the World Health Organisation country office in Afghanistan via its X handle.
However, the apex health organisation added that medical experts were on the ground to help the injured get medical assistance.
“#Afghanistan woke up to another 6.3 magnitude earthquake today, shaking parts of the western region previously affected by the #HeratEarthquake. Teams are on the ground ensuring the injured get the medical help they need and saving lives,” the post read.
“My heart goes out to the people in #Afghanistan who have lost loved ones and have been affected by the multiple earthquakes in Herat.
“@WHOAfghanistan continues to support the Afghan people with essential health care,” he assured.
Earlier, a 6.3 magnitude quake at the weekend destroyed at least 13 villages in Herat province’s Zindah Jan district.
